WHAT WE DO
BJJ Events hosts and organizes Jiu-Jitsu and grappling events across South Africa. We are the official partners of ADCC and UAEJJF for South Africa.
Founded in 2012 by Kurdt George, BJJ events has organized over 50 events for South African athletes.
THE GOAL
BJJ Events aims to teach what practitioners of the sport already know – that Jiu-Jitsu is the best sport.
Our mission is to build a stronger generation through sport by hosting a consistent event schedule. Our belief is that everyone should be able to benefit from Jiu-Jitsu and an active competition circuit is the best way to foster this growth.

THE ORGANIZER
BJJ Events is the creation of Kurdt George, head of the largest and most accomplished Jiu-Jitsu academy on the African continent. A renowned international instructor and competitor, Kurdt is one of South Africa’s foremost ambassadors of the world’s fastest growing martial art.
His immense knowledge, passion and dedication to Jiu-Jitsu is evident in his continued efforts into growing the sport on the African continent.
